A strong little girl, with an anxious mom

Hi,

My name is Kahlua. On Dec 18 th my dad noticed a lump in my hind leg while cleaning snow and salt off my paws. I normally get little bumps and lumps but this was different. The next day my parents took me to the vet, ugh and she seemed concerned so she took a sample from it with a small needle.

I didnt feel a thing and just ate the yummy liver treat my mom was feeding me. Fast forward til today after other tests confirmed a soft tissue sarcoma resulting in my leg having to be amputated next week! It came in a weird spot that cannot be removed with any success or prevent it from reappearing. My parents are so happy that the cancer never spread in my body but they sure are scared of what’s coming next. My parents are so great. After getting support online my mom has prepared the house and done all she can to help me try and adapt easier after my surgery. Luckily I’m not in any pain and am just happy I’m getting extra treats. Thanks to what my moms reading I think that will be stopping after my surgery so I don’t get fat. I also don’t like taking pills so I hope I can get my pain meds in a liquid form?? Anyways getting ready for some long hikes this weekend I sure hope the rain stops for them❤️
